This week at the ASFA AGM I stepped down from the role of President, and accepted a life membership.
It's been 4 years since I took over the role of Association President, and it's been an interesting time to say the least. There have been a lot of highlights, including:
Working alongside the wonderfully amazing Sara Jordan and re-inventing the Journal of Solution Focused Practices
Hosting the 2019 ASFA Conference in Christchurch (especially our trip to Rāpaki Marae)
Seeing membership grow by 200%, and creating lots of new friends in Australasia and around the world
It is now time for me to step down, take a break, and invest a bit of time into some new projects like repairing and sailing my very neglected little sailing boat.
I leave ASFA is in very good hands of our new President Emma Burns and a new Board. Emma is a trusted friend, a training partner, and one of the most inspiring Solution Focused people that I know. I expect that the Association and solution focused 'movement' will continue to grow through Australasia, and I am proud of my contribution.
Good luck Emma, and a big thank you to you and to everyone I have worked with and been inspired by over the last 4 years.
